i like this film but i like movies about movies anyway. it gives a portrait of the filmmaking process, but i dont know if it went all the way. you get a taste of what it was like, but not enough to fully satisfy me. but still, its good, and there are enough stories told here that i could go back and watch it over and over again, and i love how milius talks about how ffc convinces him that this film will win the nobel prize. a great moment i think, because it shows ffc's determination in going all the way.

the commentary track is disappointing, because ffc's track is limited. it would have been cool too, if bahr or hickenlooper wouldve had a track to, maybe they couldve told stories about what was left out
