linklater is a master when it comes to films about young people and this is one example why. i dont know if there is a better film which captures youth and (falling in) love as this. some of the songs in this really stink, but that's ok because this film doesnt rely on the music.

i watched this as part of my celebration of bloomsday, along with before sunset. it was a great way to spend 3 hours. maybe i can do this every year.
